Dear Sirs,

When filling out, pay attention to the accuracy of the data. If you made a mistake entering the data, correct it manually. Write the place (______) and the day of completion (date_______) on the application in your own hand and sign the line on the right side of the application.

If necessary, attach the following documents to the application:

• Certificate of education for children over 18 years of age.
• A certificate from the home tax office that the family member has no benefits in the home country. Please attach this if the adult family member resides abroad. A certificate is usually required for the applicant's spouse or parents.
• Certificate of joint household from the home country. A certificate is usually required for the applicant's parents or common-law partner.

Important:

• The deadline for submitting this application is set by the Tax Office of the Republic of Slovenia. It is usually around February 5 each year for the previous year. We suggest that you submit your application in the month of January.
• The application may only be submitted by persons who have already obtained the status of a resident of Slovenia in good time and who have already arranged Slovenian tax numbers for their family members.
• When you receive an informative calculation of personal income tax, you should see the names and surnames of your family members indicated in the calculation itself. If there are none, you can appeal within 15 days of receiving the informative income tax calculation.

You can submit your application and attachments in one of the following ways:

• by e-mail
• Physically by mail
• in person at the competent Tax Office. 

The competent Tax Office is the one located in the place where you reside in Slovenia. On our website www.slowork.si, under the section About us and offices, you can find the locations of all Financial Offices in the Republic of Slovenia
